We are prepping to talk with our little ones Bio parents about not vaxing.
We need them to sign the exemption ( Dr Tenpennys) with us while we process through adoption.

Can any of you give me help with a very clear, concise and short paper that I can present to them, so they understand the physical and religious problems with vaccinating?
I have done lots of reading on the subject over the last 2 years, but never had to come up with something like this .

I am also planning on having the Bio mom go with me to see the nurse practitioner at our local midwifery, who will be seeing baby for her well visit.
She is super strong on no vax, so looking forward to her input as well.
I think she will be a wonderful asset to the whole situation.

Do you know the birth mom's opinions on vaccines?  I am a birth mom and only placed with couples who were non-vaxing parents...so it may not even be an issue.

Also you're religious views on vaccines may or may not mean anything to the birth mom, and may not be the best way to go about this conversation if she is a different religion.

Sorry I don't have something short and sweet to offer on the benefits of no-vax, hopefully somebody else will chime in with that.  I'm a bit confused on why they would be signing an exemption right now or why this issue wasn't discussed before placement.  It can be a major issue for birth parents.

Good luck.

The dad will be fine with the whole thing. Pretty sure he is well aware, as we have talked int he past, well before this situation.
Mom has never thought about it, other then that is what the doctor mandates.
The religious side she will totally get, hence the reason I asked.

We need them to sign as well, so that there is no question at dr visits and in court for finalization.

Wonderful update! We are seeing a very naturally minded NP at a local midwifery.
Fully backs the WAPF formula, and no vax.
And! The bio parents fully back the no vax stance too.

I'd be more concerned about the social worker and judge handling your adoption approval.

For private/domestic adoptions, this really usually isn't an issue.  Neither of the families that adopted my kids vaccinate their own kids, and they didn't have to vaccinate mine to complete the adoptions.  I know that some agencies have their own strict vax rules, but I doubt the OP is using an agency like that if her opinions on no vax are so strong.  It doesn't sound like she is using an agency at all, and that makes it all much simpler.

Congrats on the good news OP.

No agency, and all private. If it were to be a problem, we can have the NP write out a religious exemption if need be.
The four of us are in total agreement on this.
If when she is older and decides to go to a foreign country, or work in the medical field, she will be free to do what she wants, but none of us want any toxins injected at this age.

Our oldest is adopted and I was so scared to not vaccinate. Now I feel ridiculous for vaxing him on schedule. We did discuss circumcision in advance of his birth and while the father was unsure, the mom was onboard. I was so glad we had such a good line of communication.

May your adoption journey be as wonderful as ours! love.gif
