I will consider myself lucky.
Please dance and drink at the funeral. Play this song, if you like.
I have no objection or judgement of the elderly getting any vaccine because they do not want to get sick or are not ready to die (and think a vaccine might stave this off…) but I get a little squirmy when people talk about vaccinating to protect the very elderly from the flu (and not only because I think the flu vaccine does not work in the elderly). There is a big fear of dying in our culture. I get it when it comes to young people, less so when it comes to the elderly.
Flu beats cancer, alzhiemers, etc as a way to go.
There is a battle of two wolves inside us. One is good and the other is evil. The wolf that wins is the one you feed.
Book and herb loving mama to 1 preteen and 2 teens (when did that happen?). We travel, go to school, homeschool, live rurally, eat our veggies, spend too much time...

My aunt has gotten the flu shot for so many years and she now has hardcore dimentia (sp?). Probably related.
I would rather suffer the real flu than have dementia. Plus it is probably pneumonia that we have to fear when we grow old and not the flu so much.
