.....but I don't have any pain?? I woke up this morning with a raised, straight lined rash down my left cheek. I had no sign of any rash last night. I was already going to the dr for my kids, otherwise I probably wouldn't have gone to the dr yet. She said if it blisters come in to see her immediately, because it's close to my eye. Anyone have experience with shingles? I thought you just got it on your torso. I also had titers done for both kids today for CP & measles; I definitely wanted CP done because they've both been exposed to CP & shingles in the past. I would like to know if they're immune. There's also a current measles outbreak here, so same blood test, might as well check!

I had shingles, but not on my face.  I had it starting under my ear, going down my arm all the way to my hand.

It hurt like hell for a good 36 hours before the rash appeared.  The pain was along the nerve pathway, not on the surface of the skin, but in deep. After the rash appeared, it continued to hurt, and the blisters burned and itched like mad as well.

I really, really hope you don't have shingles, but if you do, I hope it's a very mild case.

I had shingles this summer, and if was a very mild case. I had nerve pain along one arm for a day or two, then a small rash broke out on my back on the same side, and a smaller cluster appeared under my eye. It was very close to the eye, so I was a little concerned and watched it carefully, but it resolved without complications. The whole thing was pretty mild. The rashes were extremely sensitive and the nerve pain was bothersome, but it was no big deal over all. If you do have shingles I hope it is mild for you, as well.

Well I guess your body got rid of something that was not supposed to be there via a rash. Good for you that it was not shingles after all :)
