Looking for a time frame given for onset of Rotarix side effects.
I found this on the cdc site:
Quote: Some data suggest a small increase in intussusception cases during the first week after getting the first dose of rotavirus vaccine. The risk is estimated to be 0 to 4 cases of intussusception out of 100,000 infants.
During the first week after the first dose of vaccine, if your baby develops episodes of stomach pain with severe crying (which may be brief), several episodes of vomiting, blood in the stool, or acts weak or very irritable, you should contact a doctor promptly and tell them your infant recently received rotavirus vaccine.
What about if onset of severe diarrhea lasting for over 5 weeks starts 12 days after 1st. vaccination? IMO it is from the vaccine but I would like some research links, case studies anything if possible.
Just talked to a friend of mine whose 4 month old son was just diagnosed with neurodermitis and possible cow's milk allergy. When asked when symptoms started, she told me that it all began with that diarrhea. Plus their Pedi kept vaccinating on schedule including Rotarix despite him having severe diarrhea. Doc said can't be from the vaccine.

This vaccine was intended for use in patients who don't have access to medical care and clean water....hence not needed in the US.
I don't know why anyone living in the US would let their child get this vaccine, especially with the risk involved. When it first came out they had to recall it because many babies were killed by the vaccine and many many more needed surgery to correct the damage to the intestines caused by the vaccine.
