My best advice is to not try and argue or defend yourself. Just say that vax is not up for discussion.

ditto PP. It is not anything I'm going to discuss, and I now start with that. I've been there, done that on arguing with docs and it gets you nowhere.

THEY ARE YOUR CHILDREN.

If your child has a vaccine reaction, that doctor will distance himself so quickly you would be shocked. He would deny any prior knowledge of vaccine dangers or he may not even talk to you again.

This is your decision, yours alone. Don't let anyone force you into injecting those poisons, that crap!, into your darling child. You may forever be sorry.

Here is a book I just got done reading:
http://www.dptshot.com/

The mother in this true story wishes every single day that she had not vaccinated her precious child. He has been living as a cripple for 42 years.

When you get there, that doc may immediately start in on you. Tell him you did not come to discuss vaccines, you simply want a physical for the kids.

If he causes you any worry or anxiety while you are there, start to pack up your children and leave. Tell him these are your kids and you are going to make the decisions for them.

Take your dh, or anyone you can get to come along, with you.

Don't give in to high pressure sales. That's all it is. That doctor is a sales person for big pharma. He is a drug seller. He is either naive or ruthless. Don't trust him.

Some doctors start to see all sort of things wrong with unvaccinated kids, to cause the parents some doubt or to wear them down.
Are your kids healthy?
If so, then remember that they don't get sick the moment a doctor checks them over. You would know if they were sick. You know your kids. He does not.

Be assertive, be decisive, be in charge.

THESE ARE YOUR KIDS: THEY NEED YOU TO PROTECT THEM.

The best to you.

So how did it go?

We had a well-child visit for my 11 month old and 3 year old today. The doctor said no less than 10 times how perfect and healthy my kids were. Then at the end of the visit, he asked about vaxxes. Boy howdy, it got uncomfortable in the room after I told him we weren't vaxxing. (DD got the last vaxxes at 2 months, and DS had all of them up to 1 year.) I just smiled and refused to really discuss it. The doctor said "All of that stuff about vaccines and mercury and autism...we've disproved it." I just raised an eyebrow at that, because umm.....what? When? Where have I been? But all I said was, "Autism isn't my only reason for not vaxxing." And really, it's not. Actually, it's waaaaaay down on my list of reasons for not vaxxing. But I don't feel the need to justify my decisions.

Anyway...I think we'll have to look for a new doctor soon. He mentioned that their malpractice insurance companies won't let them take patients who don't vax. Whatever.

That's amusing.. I wonder WHY.. could it be that they don't know the true signs and symptoms of some diseases? Could it be that if they hear you are vax, then you couldn't possibly have the disease so they can give you a general antibiotic to cover their butt? That really makes you wonder~ what DO they know? That scares me to think about the concept of malpractice ins and how some may not be covered.
