My dd just turned three and I'm sorting all her size 2 clothes to see if any are worth saving or giving away. Most of them have been through 4 children already and are probably ten years old. I have only recently learned how to stain treat with natural cleaning agents, so they are so stained that I don't think anyone would want them. I don't want to throw them away, though. I'm thinking about composting them, but is there anything else they can be used for?

Our thrift store accepts stained clothing. They bundle them and sell them as rags.

I'd freecycle them but be very disclosing about the barely playclothes quality they'll be receiving.

Rags for cleaning, or cut into strips and crocheted into rugs or pot holders?
