I'm so excited. I found all these clear plastic containers with tight lid that the church had stashed up in the Sunday School office. There were about ten of them. They were the containers that the Communion hosts were stored in. I brought some home to store my dry goods. I'm so thankful I found something and didn't have to go out and buy anything.

That's so cool. Are they really sacred containers? They carried the Host, right?

Well, they carried unconsecrated unleavened bread, so they're not really "sacred." Plus, DH is a Lutheran pastor and I don't think they believe they Host is sacred outside of Holy Communion. Maybe I should have posted in Spirituality, !

Okay, that makes sense.
I was just picturing the "inquisition" coming to your door... and wondering if they came pre-consecrated
I know when I was little, in a Baptist church, we had grape juice and I remember telling my grandpa (very loudly, during communion) that it couldn't be the blood because I saw Mrs. X buying it at Piggly Wiggly!
