a couple months ago neighbors moved out and left one of those car-top carrier things, you know( when you bring too much carp along on a trip and your trunk isn't bug enough, you put it in the big box on top of the car) anyway, we had no ues for it but i put it in the shed cuz i didn't want it to be in a land fill. A week later it just came to me....it's an awesme sand box. Even better when we went to home depot to get sand (i looked for a week to see if we can get free sand somwhere) just b4 we went i fond a gift card as a wedding present (3yrs ago) and not sure if there was any $ on it. the sand was on sale that day 4 50lbs bags for $10 and the card had $10 on it....and on top of that we got a military discount so we actullay had money left over.
It's not as cute as a turtle, but it's deeper, so the sand stays in better. We acutually have it upside down b/c the lid part is deeper than the bottom, but that makes the "lip" upside down so it collect rian instead of keeping it out, we just have one of my DH army rian ponchos on top w/ two bricks to wieght it down, work great. ( i posted this last part for the ppl that may have these but are not using them) Iam so proud of our sand box
