I know you don't like them but some of these are popular books in general. People are going to buy them - perhaps by sending them back out into the world to be read by others (who are going to read them anyways) it might help keep from one more being printed.

confession: i buy these books at thrift stores and burn them in bonfires or my woodstove. in the woodstove, i only burn the pages not the cover or binding.

yes, i am a book burner. i burn the ezzo books and the dare to discipline books by dobson.

This is what I have done. I've actually written "www.mothering.com" in the margins of random pages and the front and back covers.

Make homemade paper out of them.

You can hollow out the center of a book and use it to hide $ and other valuables. Then put it on the shelf with other books. I know someone who hides guns in some large books.

Honestly, books like those I don't know if I could NOT just burn. I like a suggestion I saw about using the pages as hamster bedding or something similar.

As much as I don't agree with those books, I'm not comfortable with burning or otherwise destroying a book that isn't somehow damaged beyond reading.

I would agree if the books belonged to someone else. But they're mine, so it's really up to me. It's not like I'm going to the library and burning their CIO section.
