We now only used fitted sheets on our beds so I have a bunch of flat sheets from sheet sets that are in excellent condition. Is there an easy way to turn them into fitted sheets? Or another use for them? They are in assorted colors and patterns and I'm not much of a sewer but I can manage simple stuff.

I have seen elastic clips that you can put on the sheets and run under the mattress. http://www.sheetsuspenders.com/productinfo.html Here is one brand I quickly found online.

OK, I know you said you aren't much of a sewer, but I use my old flat sheets for the backing of curtains. Esp. the dark ones are nice for the kids rooms. That saves money on buying muslin, and is a great way re-purpose them.

I use full or queen flat sheets as the fitted sheet on my kid's twin beds. I just tuck them in tightly, and it works.

I also have a nice, fancy white sheet I want to make into 2 curtains for the boy's room. I just haven't gotten around to it yet.
