At 8:11 this morning Malachi Lucius Ritz was born, 7 lbs 12 ounces, 20 inches long at 40 weeks 3 days. I had one tear that could have gone either way, stitches or not, so I chose not to.
I'll write a birth story later
I was wondering about you too! Congrats on the birth of Malachi Lucius, I hope you enjoy your babymoon!
Was Seven able to attend the birth? I bet she is SO happy right now...her 1st grandchild Don't forget to tell the mamas on the Path...we are all so happy for you :
Perpetually breastfeeding or pregnant ENFP mom to a lot of kids...wife to a midwestern nice guy...living in tropical paradise...pink cats and homebirths rock!
One gorgeous solstice babe 12/08, two smitten mothers - mothering consciously with conscience and compassion. Birth & Postnatal Doula. Student Midwife. Expecting #2 November '12.
She is amazing. Absolutely stunning. She knew exactly what to do, followed her body 100%. She is ferociously strong, she was like the archetypal birthing princess, like an Amazon woman who has done this a million times. I've never seen anything like it. She never said "It's too much pain", she said "It's so big" (meaning the feelings, the sensations, not the actual baby).
And secondly... I got to drive home with birth on my hands :
