I'm exploring the idea of giving up our TV. I have 21month old twins, and I find myself more and more turning to the TV as a babysitter. If I am trying to get lunch ready, or deal with the whineys, for example. They are watching far more than I want them to. It's hard not to give into the temptation if it is available. I know it is not healthy.

I need to find alternative activities for them, something to entertain them for short periods when I have to do other things.

I am thinking of just cutting the cable. We have netflix, for occasional movie viewing, which I will probably keep.

Anyways, I don't have any real questions. I'm mostly just introducing myself and looking for support from those BTDT parents.
