the internet! My DH and I haven't had cable as long as we've lived together, so about 3 years now. We do watch DVDs that we get through Blockbuster Online, but that's fine since it's our little weekend "date" thing that we do. My question is really about whether or not any of you found yourselves just using the internet more in place of the time you used to spend watching TV. I find that every time I feel a little bored or tired or whatever, I'm instantly drawn to the internet, surfing blogs, reading MDC, checking the news, etc. We have high-speed internet. So now, instead of channel surfing, I'm internet surfing. I know that what I really need to do is just take a break if I'm tired, work on a sewing project if I'm bored, etc.....but I'm lazy and the computer is right here, lol. What is it about all this media that is so hard to get away from!? Anyway, anyone else out there with the same issue? I need to figure out a way around this. And just in case anyone is thinking of suggesting it, my husband is big into computers and so forth, and I think he'd rather give up his car than high-speed internet, so we won't be canceling it for sure!
