i just think they're pretty. it's nice to sit at night with just that lamp on and relax. i bet there are health benefits to that, anyway.

I think they draw moisture from the air. If they do anything else I'd love to know. I do know that you aren't supposed to keep them too close to water because it will ruin them.

I've seen them but never got one.

But we use Himalayan Salt for cooking. That is the only salt I use. We do not eat any other salt. It contains all 84 minerals and nothing else. While table salt is 'cleaned' of 82 minerals via a chemcial process, thereby causeing an imbalance in the body.

ok. back to the lamp - carry on!

Oh and btw, you can eat your lamp if it's himalayan salt.

We only consume Himalayan salt as well, we think it tastes better and you can't beat it actually being healthy for you

This is to all- the link I posted will tell you about the "benefits" of the lamp. I'm wondering if anyone had actually noticed a differencce in concentration, alertness, quality of air, asthma, etc.

It's certainly a more natural option and the idea behind it makes sense, negative ions, & the colors themselves have therapeutic properties. I'd really like 4, at least 2 but, they aren't exactly cheap, not to me anyway.

Gitti- LOVE the quote and link!!
