A study by researchers at the UC Davis M.I.N.D. Institute has found that the seven- to eight-fold increase in the number children born in California with autism since 1990 cannot be explained by either changes in how the condition is diagnosed or counted — and the trend shows no sign of abating.

It's about time!!!

If the people let government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny." Thomas Jefferson.

If they are born with it it's because imo mothers are injected with mercury via the flu shot.

And now they are being encouraged to eat fish during pregnancy -

Something tells me they want the autism rates to stay up there.

Since this is about an environmental health issue I'm moving to H&H.

There's quite a bit more to it than that in all fairness....

I will agree though that vaccines don't help anything. They just aren't the "cause." They CAN be and often are what tip the scales in a child who is already pre-disposed.

Definitely. And the flu shot rec to pg mothers hasn't been around long enough to account for the increase. I'm sure it's AN environmental factor, but not the only one by any means.
