my dd has had a runny nose for the past two weeks. It dosn't seem to bother her that much, but she gets snot all over her face from rubbing her nose. Sometimes she gets this from teething (she's 13 months old), but it is lasting so long. I am wondering what this is from and how to get rid of it.
Peace, Meg

Get Ocean Saline Drops and post when you are through with them. Keep the bottle and I will dig out a home saline recipe.

I recommend one bottle for both of you so your child can practice squirting the drops into your nose.

This is a fun, safe prophylaxis for everyone and an absolute must for a child with a runny nose. Unfortunately in this country a rare practitioner will tell you that until (after much misery) you run into a good specialist like an attentive pediatric allergist or otolaryngologist.

Meg,

Your child may be suffering from a mild viral or bacterial infection. It should not be lasting this long. How is her immune system? Have you tried taking her to a chiropractor to boost her immune response? I would try Dr. Wild in Sheyboygan, WI. (Not to far from you!)

My husband grew up on Crystal Lake and spent alot of time in Elkhart Lake. Dr. Wild was his chiropractor!

Good Luck!
