My mom lost about 100lbs a couple years ago. One of the ways she did it was to cut out salt. She now uses a salt substitute. yuck. Anyway, when she does splurge and eat salt, she gains water weight. So she is in a constant fight with salt, convinced that it causes her to gain weight. She's not a big junk food eater at all, but last nght she said she's going to ask her doctor about blood pressure meds because she really misses salt. Augh!
She's 55, btw. So I'm wndering if she can eat celtic sea salt, or Redmond's sea salt, something unrefined, if that will cause her to gain the water weight, and will it affect her blood pressure?
