So I started the monistat-7 last night and it felt better over night but this morning it feels a lot worse. I know they say that if symptoms don't get better by 3 days, I should call the doctor back, but is it normal to get a lot worse after the first treatment? I'm 12 weeks pregnant, btw, and get yeast infections about once a year. I remember not ever feeling better after the first treatment, but I don't remember feeling worse.... Thanks!

Did the doctor diagnose the yeast infection or did you self diagnose? Some bacterial infections can mimic a yeast infection and be made worse by antifungals. If you didn't see a doctor in the beginning, I'd probably give them a call to rule out other infections.

I think it's fairly common in the morning to feel a little worse...the monistat is pushing all the yeast out..ridding your body of it....if it doesnt feel better in 2 more days i would call the doctor...but i've always felt a little worse the next morning too.
A shower and some external cream will help.

I should have been more clear since it is important to make sure it's a yeast infection - it was diagnosed and the treatment was recommended. Glad to hear from someone else who was worse on morning 1!

Just in case anyone comes across this thread in the future and wonders - OP here - on the second day of treatment and feeling much better! Man that first day was awful. I wish garlic or yogurt worked for me
