Dh has been taking ibuprofen for a sprained knee ans this morning he woke up DRENCHED - I mean I had to change the sheets and air out the mattress!
I read on web md that ibuprofen can cause this but it doesn't say why.
Does anyone know why, and if that means he should stop th eibuprofen?
TIA!!!
Sandy

How much is he taking? The only thing I found on sweating as a side effect was from an overdose--that was on the Mayo clinic website. It says to consult your doctor. I would stop the medicine and see what happens.

Thanks for the reply - I appreciate it.
He's been taking 2-3 every 4 hours as needed.
It didn't happen last night. ???
Not sure what to think now.

Seems odd that it would be the ibuprofen... but then, I take it often for pain and never had that problem. I did get horrible, soaking the towels and sheets night sweats when I was taking percocet after my last surgery. But then it could have been the abx or other meds I was taking, too. I hope it gets better for your DH and/or you figure out the cause. I hated waking up cold and drenched
