Cross Posted in Special Needs....

My 10 year old son can't swallow vitamins yet. He is special needs and has to take 150 mg. of B6 each day.

We have been using the Kirkman Labs but my son is sick of the flavor.

Does anyone have any tips or know of any other vitamin brands that have chewable b6? We are willing to get it in a multivitamin if it has enough b6 in it.

any help is greatly appreciated!

Would he be willing to swallow a liquid with powder mixed in? I mix a lot of pills in 2-3T of black cherry juice, and oftentimes it seems like the capsules that I open taste better than the liquids that I found (maybe I just didn't find the good stuff).

I don't think B6 is the one that tastes nasty if you get it as a stand-alone, I use a B-complex that doesn't taste good, it's a capsule that I open and mix in the juice (the kids drink it off a spoon, just a few spoonfuls and it's done, and I split it throughout the day). We use a lot of Thorne products, and their B-complex #6 has many different Bvits, and 200 mg of B6 in particular. They may have a B6 by itself.

thanks tanya.

We mix an amino acid blend into OJ, V8 Splash, smoothies etc and it has a powerful taste which is difficult to mix with anything else. i haven't tried black cherry juice. i'll check that out.

and the thorne company looks very promising. thanks for the info.
