I just bought my toddler flame resistant carters pjs but now i think i remember reading that those chemicals are carcinogenic? should i return them?

I would absolutely not put them on my kids. But then I never buy anything that is less than 100% cotton either (I assume those are fleece pjs if they have flame resistant chemicals in them). And out mattresses are organic as well because I think that the flame resistant chemicals that are in conventional mattresses are REALLY toxic.
