I am really blessed to not even remember the last time I was sick, but my dh got sick (just a virus) Sat. night and it made me realise about treating stuff naturally. We do not have kids yet, but intend to ttc in the near future, so books that cover both adults and kids would be fine. Adults only would be fine too at this point.
Please tell me and other Mothering mamas what your favourite books are about homeopathy, herbs, flower essences etc. I would be interested not only in books that just list a list of symptoms and remedies, but also talk at least a little in the beginning of the book about the idea behind that particular method of healing.

THANKS

Valeria

I like Natural Healing for Babies and Children by Aviva Jill Romm, it's a very good herbal, with some other suggestions for things like homeopathy and acupressure. She talks a lot about maintaining a supportive environment for health too. What I like best is that there are very clear signs and symptoms and treatment options for the commonly vaxed-for illnesses, as well as listing signs to look for in order to know when to go to a doctor.

It doesn't have everything in it, though.

Your Vital Child - Mark & Angela Stengler

I really enjoy reading this book. It has some wonderful information. It describes in detail for each ailment (if you will) contemparary medicine, homeopathy, the use of aromatherapy, hydrotherapy, massage and acupuncture for children. Along with minerals & vitamins.

Very down to earth, easy reading!
