Long story short I have normal TSh but have tested positive for antibodies to my thyroid. So it is either postpartum thyroiditis or Graves.

I have been super anxious my whole life, and have experienced bouts of joint pain, fatigue, irritability, unexplained 15 pound weightloss, nervousness, a tremor in my hands, a fast heartbeat, sensitivity to heat, and now this weird chest pain. Its like a pressure that almost extends to my throat. Doesn't hurt, but is uncomfortable, and I feel like I can't get a full breath. Only sometimes can I take a deep satisfying breath. I am no where near struggling to breathe, but its like I need to think about breathing all the time. This has been happening for a week now. The doctor thinks it is thyroid related and sent me for more bloodwork. He also gave me propanolol for the symptoms, which worked beautifully for a few days, but has seemed to stop working now.

I know anxiety itself can produce these symptoms, but I haven't really felt all that anxious when this is happening, not like a panic attack or anything. I did take a Xanax which temporarily relieved it. Anxiety has never made me feel this way in the past, btw.

Thoughts?

I would strongly suspect adrenal issues.
Have you had cortisol levels tested?
As you probably know adrenals and thyroid go hand in hand.
Do you have any other signs of adrenal imbalance?

Low iron can also cause those symptoms, especially fast heartbeat and a feeling like you're not getting quite enough air sometimes.

Just to add to the mix, low iron often goes along with thyroid and adrenals.

adrenals for sure. I have hashimotos and adrenal fatigue.
I also have anxietyI get shortness of breath, I would avoid medications at all cost but that's just me. Check out the thyroid thread and adrenal fatigue thread

I just did a google search on "air hunger" because it's starting to happen to me again and I couldn't remember the reason. I have adrenal issues and thyroid issues that are being treated, but I'm recently pregnant and I think it's already taking a toll on my adrenals. It did go away for me for a long time after I started herbal and vitamin therapy for my adrenals and thyroid.
