My son has a really bad cold, his first. He will be 10 months old in a few days and I am wondering if it is okay to give him elderberry syrup. I have on hand the Eldertussin Elderberry Syrup brand which includes a blend of black elderberry extract, echinacea extract, chamomile, horehound, and wild cherry bark.

It says for use 1-2 years and up to 24 lbs, 1/2 to 1 teaspoon.

Would this be okay to give him. He is ebf but pretty miserable. Thanks!
