we had homemade beetroot (beet) juice yesterday and today there was a red-ish tinge in the toilet after my 4 yr old did a poo. do you think it was the juice? i am worried it could be blood.
i didn't look at mine, so i don't know if mine was red too!!

I vote for beet juice; I know eating them always makes me pee bright red.

yes it's normal for the stool to turn red after beets. However, peeing red after beets points to low stomach acid....

Oh yes, totally normal. Both my daughter and myself get bright reddish-purple poops after eating a lot of beets.
