My OB has me taking Metagenics EPA-DHA. I was just reading a blog about giving your kids fish oil supplements, and I was wondering if anybody here does so. Why should/shouldn't I do it? Also, if anyone has any info about the relative safety of this particular brand, I would appreciate it.

Misti, mom to DS (12), DS (9), DD (3), and Mr. Man (October '10)!

I don't know anything about that particular brand, sorry! That said, we use Nordic Naturals (they have a great reputation for both adult and kid sups) kids fish oil gels around here. I don't take them because I am veg (so I supplement with flax) but since the kids aren't I compromise and give them fish oil. I've noticed a huge improvement in eldest DDs concentration levels and know that it helps with moods as well.

Proud mama to DD#1 (11) DS (4) and DD#2 ( 2 )
