We're looking to purchase a home soon and want to remain in our general area. One that we really like is situated about 1/3 mile to a *major* freeway.

What do you think of pollution and heavy traffic? No matter where I go in the city I live in, it won't be stellar air quality, but wonder if I'd be exposing my child to huge risks of lung scarring, etc in the future...

Is this being realistic or paranoid?

There are lots of studies and 1/3mile is the cutoff for heavy pollution..any closer and it does increase likelyhood of lung issues with children..

Sigh, any advice welcome!
