I don't want to bum anybody out, but I'd like to say that getting chicken pox too early doesn't always work. I had it when I was 5 and then again, when I was 17. I guess it was too mild when I was 5, or something like that.

Has anyone seen chicken pox start with such a high fever? It's more common for chicken pox to cause a low fever and a grumpy tired kidlet who's fever lingers after the skin lesions appear.
