Hi, so here's the story. I woke up this morning with a sore throat, headache, nausea and a fever of 101. So I wound up staying home today. Still not feeling any better after being home all day. Still running a fever and when I looked with a flashlight it looks like I have a couple open sores and some kind of whitish/yellowish stuff on the sides of my throat. Does it sound like strep? I emailed my doctor, but he probably won't get it til tomorrow. I have been drinking echinacea tea and eating chicken noodle soup all day. Any thoughts, mamas? I work in human services and if I'm running a fever, I shouldn't be around my client...
Yes, that does sound like strep. There's a thread on MDC about treating strep naturally. If that's not your thing, I would head to the doctor for a rapid test.

Thank you. I'm already doing all the natural remedies, but wanted to know if it really sounded like strep. I had it once, when I was a kid and don't remember what it was like. My dr is a holistic, naturopathic MD, so if I have to go see him, I won't necessarily be put on antibiotics. Thanks again.
