I was told I had PCOS about four years ago.Thats how long my husband and I been trying if not longer.I been on the melformin for alittle while but it didn't work.Should we just give up or is there a more natural approach to this heartbreaking sydrome. I been pregnant before and miscarriage that was the only time I conceived.

I have pre-PCOS and you know what? Diet and controling insulin weren't enough for me. I needed metformin for a few months until my diet and weight and activity level were enough to control my insulin. Then I needed tamoxifen (like a mild clomid with smaller chance of multiples) and a shot of HCG to make me ovulate properly. This meant ultrasounds and tons of blood work, and I would do it over again in a heartbeat. It was so worth it. I know it's hard and frustrating. Hang in there, and I am not one to even take tylenol, but in this case, it was what I had to do and I have no regrets. But you need to work with the right doctor. Just metformin is often not enough.
