My 3 yr old son has been diagnosed w/ toe/nail fungus on his foot. We tried TTO for a week and it did nothing so podiatrist gave us an RX for topical cream which we apply 1x per day. I realize I probably have not given it enough time.
Is there something else I should be doing? Have read about vinegar soaking OR Vicks Vapo Rub...maybe I should increase TTO?
What can I give him orally, garlic? He has a gastrointestinal (Hirschsprung' Disease) disorder (lost 1/3 of his colon) so we are on a heavy duty probiotic (RX) and take s. boulardii (sp?) also. We have a good diet, low sugar, no white....We are limited to what we can do orally due to his gastro issues.
I had this when DS was a baby.
He supposedly had low iron (which it turned out he didn't, but that's a whole other story) so to correct his iron levels, my midwife told me to take a ton of liquid chlorophyll and these natural pills for low iron. I did, and my toenails healed and have been great ever since. =)
Sorry I don't know the name of the pills, but at least the liquid chlorophyll might be worth looking into.
