My son developed this light rash today. The pediatrician's after-hours doc recommended we wait it out overnight unless the rash gets worse. If there's no change in the morning, we'll bring him in so the doc can take a look. He has no other symptoms, no fever, nothing. He's in his normal, happy mood.

Anyone know what this might be?

I was thinking some sort of allergy but his diet has been unchanged today. The usual norm of fruits, veg, a little bread, some pasta for dinner, oatmeal at breakfast, etc. Nothing new that he'd react to.

Hard to tell.  Roseola?  Rashes are usually so vague. Did he run a fever of any sort prior to the rash?  If so, is the fever gone? Did he exhibt cold symptoms a week or so prior to the rash?
