I'm getting my entire thyroid removed at the end of the month. It's not cancerous but is pushing my windpipe to the side. Any advice on preparing for surgery and recovering from surgery - especially for helping heal a scar and not looking like a slasher victim - would be appreciated.
I already plan to be consistent with my vitamins (New Chapter Every Woman) and possibly take 3 a day instead of the daily 2.
Increase vitamin c, though recommendations for which kind would be appreciated.
Significantly reduce added sugar and carbs from my diet (I like to have green smoothie meal replacements anyway).
Make sure I'm drinking enough water every day.
Loving mama to Aden (8/5/2010) and DSD (14).
