I went to the Ob/gyn a week and a half ago. I have been feeling super duper tired, very grumpy and hormonal, etc. I found out my pap was normal but I have some abnormal lab results from bloodwork. I was working three 12-hour shifts in a row and kinda ignored the phone calls from the doctor, one of those recorded voice message things--  and then got a letter in the mail to schedule an appt regarding the lab results as soon as I got the letter. :-( Hoping it's nothing serious. As a nurse all kinds of things go through my head. And of course they won't even hint about it. Have an appt tomorrow morning. Need someone to virtually hold my hand until the appt.

I'm not a clinician but my first thought is anemia- that would be an abnormal blood test result and make you feel very tired.

I'm thinking maybe hypothyroid-- both my parents had it, and half a dozen aunts.

Well it was nothing serious! Of course as an RN I was imagining the worst . . my testosterone level is borderline low. They offered to supplement it but I declined. Doing a few more tests to find out why I'm tired but so far probably just working nights is the problem.
