My 21 month old's adenoids are huge, according to the ENT, and they need to come out. We discussed non-invasive options and there basically aren't any that he feels would work. So....

This kid is on a grain-free, casein-free diet already. Now he's going to be basically on a liquid diet for awhile b/c of the surgery. I'm planning to make lots of smoothies, give him fruit juice popsicles and fruit/veggie purees to eat. Any other ideas what to give him to help him eat during his recovery?

Any other tips/suggestions pre- or post-surgery? How to prepare him? What to have on hand after? Things to help the fear before/pain after? How to keep him relatively quiet and calm for the week following?

Thanks, I hadn't thought of that... Anyone else have good ideas for healthy foods he can eat pureed and frozen/cold? Poor thing is ALWAYS hungry and isn't supposed to cry/yell during recovery. That's not a good combination when he's always yelling for food! :(
