I had a lump suddenly appear on my neck about 8 months ago. I had it checked and doctor recommended ct with contrast. I ebf and did not want to risk messing up nursing as we had both finally figured it out. I do not have medical insurance. The lump is hard, painless, and 5cm. The doctor originally said it is a lymph node. It has not changed at all in size. I do have random itching on the side of my neck where the lump is. Should I try to get it checked out again? If so, what are my options with not having insurance? Also, I do have hashimotos hypothyroid, but I have been on meds for it and my levels are normalized.

I thought even with normal levels the antibodies still attack the thyroid in hashimotos? I might be wrong I would get it checked out for sure. Can you get state medical?
