Help me solve the mystery of where we're getting poison ivy. - Mothering Forums

I have poison ivy on my breasts. I got it there last year too. I assumed my LO is a carrier (got oils on her hands) and passed the oils on to me while nursing. BUT, this year my older child also has it on her chest/belly.  That's making me think that our cats are somehow involved. What are your ideas?

Clothing some how? P.I. can last a couple of years on clothing if you don't wash it two or three times. The oils are tough to get rid of.

I don't have any scientific evidence of this but I think people who are very sensitive to it can get it just from being in the vicinity of it. I got it one time as a kid and had a MASSIVE reaction. I swear I never touched the stuff. Could there be some near your house maybe?
