Ok, so, I know there are lots and lots of threads on curing tooth decay, but I sort of have a specific question about calcium in general:

Is it even possible for bones to "remineralize" or restore calcium losses? I have been reading and the most recent thing I read suggests not (at least for bones) - that the kidneys will take up calcium into the system from the bones (or teeth) when there is a deficient, but after peak bone mass is formed during childhood, they don´t deposit extra calcium there (though no mention of teeth and I am aware that remineralization seems to be possible for teeth).

I am concerned because I am pregnant, breastfeeding, recently vegan, and have overhauled my tooth care regime to be more natural (so I don´t know which combination of things is to blame), but I am getting multiple gum line cavities. I will remineralize one, and then a new one forms. I am not specifically asking for help with the tooth decay, because there is a lot written about that elsewhere, but I am thinking, if my teeth are suddenly going to hell, what is happening to my bones? :/

When I went vegan, I stopped supplementing with vitamins (did research that found them not helpful, not natural, etc), but now I feel like I have really harmed myself. I have not been eating perfectly because of first trimester food aversions and nausea (and I have added back organic eggs and cheese - thinking about raw dairy but really not sure) and I think I need to supplement. I really don´t want to affect my unborn baby´s bone density OR my own more skeletal degeneration! But maybe my own bones have already experienced whatever loss they will have experienced, and any supplementation I do now will just (hopefully) curb further bone loss (as well as hopefully tooth decay)? Any thoughts appreciated :)

Thanks :)

It looks like your post might have been missed, so I wanted to bump it up for attention. :bump: Anyone have experiences to share?
