I have a longer cycle, about 32-34 days. Ever since I had my DD my flow has gotten steadily worse. I can soak a super plus tampon in 2 hours. The cramps the first 2 days are horrible. I also get ovulation cramps. Ovulation can be quite painful. I get a sharp throbbing pain almost every time. One time I almost went to the ER it hurt so bad. I have had blood work and an ultrasound and it all came back normal. I am on my second month of vitex, hoping that will help. Has anyone else has success treating these issues? They prescribed me nosebleed pills to help with the bleeding but there is a small risk for getting a blood clot.

That sounds a challenge! I don't have any advice, but I hope you find something that helps soon. Because it looks like your post may have been missed, I am bumping it up for attention. :bump: Anyone have a recommendation or experience to share?

Have you tried a reusable menstrual cup?  Many women find that it reduces cramps by letting the flow come faster.  It also makes a heavy flow easier to manage because it holds a lot.  Here are my detailed ravings about the joys of the cup.

I tried vitex for a while but felt that it didn't do anything.  Both my friend and I had less painful cycles and fewer mood swings when taking daily supplements of Vitamin B6 and Vitamin E.  Earlier, we each had some success with evening primrose oil, but it seems to require a high dose during the last 2 weeks of the cycle to work well, and that gets expensive; I feel Vitamin E works better.

I do use a Diva cup with a cloth pad as back-up. I use tampons when I am out and about because I dont like changing the cup in public bathrooms. I have been taking alternating a B100 with my multi. I haven't tried the vitamin E yet. I did notice my recent period was a little lighter, but the cramps were still pretty bad. I just started taking magnesium at bedtime to see if that will help the cramps.
