dh gets a few migraines a month and I'm wondering what I can do to help him.

He has tried the medication route and they either have failed or have had such side effects that he won't use them.

What about the vitamin Migrahealth? What do you know about it?

Mom of a 7 yr old, 4 yr old, and 1 yr old. Wow. How did that happen?

I have heard that feverfew will help, but have never tried it.

Sometimes migranes are caused by a brain parasite! (ICK!) It can't be treated with meds... you might consider this option.

I tried prescription medication in the past and it made me nauseous, etc.

Recently I tried over-the-counter Excedrin migraine and it worked so well! I couldn't believe it! It is new I think.

Just thought I would post this eventhough I know you are looking for non-medicine type of remedies because I couldn't believe how well it worked.

I also wear sunglasses almost all the time (even indoors esp. flouresecent light) because I am sensitive to light and sometimes bright lights can trigger a migraine. A quiet room that is dark and cool and a cool washcloth on my head helps, too.

Excedrin Migraine works v ery well for me, also, but only if I take before my migraine has actually fully developed. I learned the precurser signs to a migraine, and if I take it when I get those I am good. Right now I am taking calcium because I hear it helped in a recent study. I think it's 1200 mg you need to take a day.
