I'm hoping some of you mamas could help me out here.

My 4 yr old dd has a plantar wart on the end of her big toe. She stubbed it several times a few months ago and it still hurts, so when I checked it out I realized there is now a big ol wart there. It is really sensitive. Normally, I would let a wart sit, but since it's hurting her I want to see if I can get rid of it. There was a thread long ago with all sorts of natural remedies, including quite a few using essential oils. I just can't remember which essential oils, how much, etc.

TIA,

Alison

This is going to sound whacky but I think you should buy them from her. Give her a quarter and tell her that you are buying her wart. It will be gone in a couple of weeks.

I know it sounds crazy but it has worked for me on a number of occasions. I've had warts that lasted for months and then someone bought them and the went away.

XOXOXO

I took olive leaf extract for about a month and my plantar wart on the sole of my foot vanished.

Mira,
I've heard of other similar remedies, though I've never tried one myself. Given the fact that she doesn't even know that it's a wart, or what a wart is, will it still work?

clancysmum,
Is the olive leaf extract something a child can take and is it taken internally or put on the wart?

thanks for your suggestions

If she's four I'll bet you can explain it to her.

Anyway, it's worth a try. Can't hurt anything.

I have given my 3yo olive leaf extract. It is best to get the liquid unless she can take capsules. I tried breaking the caps and adding it to dd's juice and it was awful!!

mira,
I bought her wart yesterday. She drove a hard bargain! $2!! It was New Zealand dollars so that's a little better, I talked her down from $10. I think she understood what transpired although at first she kept telling me it wasn't a wart. I'll keep you posted.

clancysmum,
I haven't had time to look for the olive leaf extract yet, but plan to. Thanks.

Oh my, now I will feel really foolish if it doesn't work.

Good luck mom at home!
