Hi, my two children were born with NAIT. Does anyone else have this problem? Would love to talk and support each other.

My DD had thrombocytopenia at birth. What is neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia? Thanks! I want to learn more. Supposedly because of this I can't have a vaginal birth??? I had her by c-section due to breech position.

I need to post this on the support board but my OB had us (my DH and I) get our anti-platlet antibodies checked. He said that was all we needed to check for NAIT. The came back fine. I think we need more than that right? Thanks!

I'm not sure. DH and I had our blood drawn and they sent it to the lab. They found something wrong with ours and that was it. You might want to see if Stephanie might have some insite on this.

I'm so happy everything came back okay for you and DH though.

Hi Beaconlight,

I was reading your posts on another site and I was wondering if you have all the info you're looking for. I have three kids, the first was not affected, the second was born and discovered to have NAIT 12 hours after birth and the 3rd, of course treatment began at 21 weeks. I had 2 cordocentesis during the pregnancy and weekly IVIG. I'd be happy to talk if you need any info.

Thanks MissMiss.

I had my second baby and went through all the IVIG. I think I have all the info I need, but more is great. I keep posting this places looking for more people that have NAIT so we can support each other and I can share my experience with them.
