I've been pondering the topic of fluoride in drinking water for years and this thought has come to me:

How can we be forced to drink water that is tainted with this stuff? I mean, isn't it like "medicating" the public? Don't we have any recourse in this? Or do we just have to take it and buy a filter that gets rid of this? (I'm pretty sure reg. charcoal filters don't really work, but only reverse osmosis.)

Any thoughts on this?

It's pretty annoying, especially since flouride might be a possible trigger of some autoimmune diseases.

I have grappled with this subject since I was a teenager. My mother works for the health district and one of her programs is the flouridation of our water. I never understood her frustration when she would come home and vent about the "crazy" people who wouldn't want flouride in the water because it "helps" so many poor people without access to dental appointments. I just don't get it. I'd check with your local health district and find out more details of this program. Maybe there's something you can do about it???
