My friend's 7 month old has an ear infection and has been prescribed an antibiotic for it. She said that her dd won't take it no matter how she tries to give it to her (straight, mixed in breastmilk, food, etc.). She just gags & vomits it back up. Any more natural remedies to ear ache that anyone knows of that might work? TIA!!!

I use garlic/mullein oil drops in DS's ear and they seem to help.

I thought this article on the subject was great:

there was just a discussion of the wonderful uses of breastmilk. some mama's express a little into a cup, pour into the ear and then rest the childs head to one side for abt 5 min. I'm lazy, or I'd link ya.

I used to get LOTS of ear infections before starting on the crunchy path. Nowadays, I put a few drops of TTO on a cotton swab and swab the affected ear--I haven't had an ear infection in years! With a baby, perhaps a single drop into the canal, turn the head to keep the drop in for awhile...it would probably work best while she was asleep.

Breastmilk in the ear 3x a day is supposed to help so I've heard. Some of the mamas I know swear by it.
