...or just some weird pain?

Anyone here had a bone spur or stress fracture in their heel? I have a pain in my heel that feels like a knife is embedded in it. It's worse if I wear shoes, but gets bad at the end of the day even if I go shoeless all day. It really hurts, and earlier felt like burning heat in my foot traveling up to my ankle. (I was on my feet doing laundry) It came on suddenly after a vacation trip in which I did a lot of walking in not-the-best shoes, about a month ago. It's getting worse, and hurts like crazy. I bought some really good walking shoes, and they hurt it also.

I was wondering if this sounded serious or just like a general pain. I'm overweight, and this is interrupting my weight loss attempt.

Does it hurt more in the morning when you first wake up & then get a little better as the day goes on? Have you tried icing it?

I'm wondering if it isn't planter fasciatis?

I would think that if it were a broken heel it would hurt a lot - all the time & not get better at any time just worse?

It doesn't hurt worse in the morning. It hurts after I stand on it for any time period, or when I do a certain movement...a twisting, leaning step...hard to describe. The pain is very localized...like just in a certain spot, but it travels after I'm on my feet for more than a few minutes. It throbs sometimes when I'm sitting, especially at night. I've tried heat, and it helps, I can't stand cold on my feet (poor circulation anyway).
