DD is almost 3 and I bought some kids Emergen-C. I just read on the box that it says for age 4 and up. Is the 500mg of Vit C going to harm her little body???

Also, how is Emergen-C supposed to mix?? When I made it (with the packet and 5 oz of water) it was still very clumpy- no matter how much I mixed it?!?

I drink Emer Gen C all the time. I noticed the orange and the strawberry don't dissolve too well. The strawberry has fiber in it, ergo, hard to dissolve.

I give my almost 3 year old the "Kids Strawberry EmerGenC" mixed in juice, and he's been getting it since he was around 2. It's a 'half dose' compared to the adults and unless your son gets 'the runs' or is allergic to the strawberry, it should be fine.

I shake the sippy cup really hard when I mix it. First I put in a bit of warmish water, then add the EmergenC, and shake it or stir. Then I top of with juice or rice milk and shake again (makes good strawberry milk).

Hth

I've been giving it to ds since before he was two. The Vit C seemed to help with colds in winter. (He can't have citrus and wasn't eating any Vit C rich foods)

I put an ice cube with it in a sippy cup and shake (with my hand over the nozzle) and it dissolves somewhat...

My naturopath recommended up to 2 g Vit C daily for my daughter when she was sick. She is 2. That equals 4 Emergen-C packets. I don't like the one for kids and neither do my kids. We stick with the regular ones. We like raspberry, lemon-lime and tangerine.
