hey...anyone know???

i remember reading that there is an oil taht is a natural sunscreen...thought it was almond? has anyone heard this?
and if so, how "screeny" (lol) is it? is it effective?

i've used lots of natural sunscreens....just curious if anyone knew of any non-commercial suncreens?

The oil I know of with natural sunsceen properties is sesame oil. Also chapparal herb has some sunsceen properties. I don't know the spf. I used a homemade blend that did pretty good. If you get toasted sesame oil it makes you smell delicious! But you'll crave chinese food!

Carrot creme has some spf value. I have Burt's Bees creme for my face and I haven't burned all summer. I put some on dd and she hasn't had a sunburn either.

I don't know if this constitutes natural, but I have been using a zinc diaper rash cream as baby sunscreen.
