I am just pregnant & taking my healthy lunch to work with me everyday in those little disposable containers (I reuse them) & heating up lunch in the microwave. Then I remembered I saw something about plastics & hormones, but I can't remember what or where? does anyone have any info, a book? a website?
any info is much appreciated, maria

Plastics, especially the more pliable ones like the containers made by Ziplock and Glad, have carcinogins that leech into your food when heated. You shouldn't microwave your food in plastic or covered with plastic wrap.

Corningware Pop-ins are a great alternative. They're ceramic with harder plastic lids, and you won't have them full enough to have your food touching the lids anyway. They can go in the freezer, fridge, microwave, or oven. (Obviously, the plastic lids can't go in the oven.)
