My ds has the chicken pox and has one on his eyeball. Does anyone know is there anything special I should look out for b/c of this? He's also got one right on his lower lashes, but the one ON his eye is what I'm worried about. I'm going to put a call into the doc.

He doesn't seem bothered by it at all, so I'm thinking it's ok, but I don't want to miss something and have him go blind or something. (Ds HATES going to the doc, so if it's not something that is a big worry, I'm just going to wait it out.)

Are you nursing? I would put some breastmilk on it. I would call my ped too, and I rarely do that!

When i was 8 i had CP and one was right in my eye! They didn't give me any drops or anything and my eyes are fine today. Its just gross looking when you have it. The white of my eye was BLOOD RED.

I am no Dr. but he should be fine.....

I put a call into the doc and waiting for a call back, but it looks like it's already healing (way faster than some of the other pox). So that's good. It was a little one.

The doc called back and said it's an emergency and I NEED to get him into an opthamologist today. They got him an appointment and referral for today. This ped has a tendency to overreact about everything, so I'm calling MY doc (and the doc that ds2 sees) to get a 2nd opinion. I'm not sure whether to take this at face value that it's urgent or assume she's overreacting. ARRRRGGGGHHHH!
