I need your help. I can' figure out what's going on and don't know what to do.

For MONTHS now I've been in serious pain. It moves. Sometimes it's sharp pain in my pelvic joint. Sometimes it's in my lower left abdomen. My lower back alway aches.

It gets so bad sometimes I can't walk.

I have weakness in my legs. I can hardly lift them into my pants sometimes. Pushing things with my feet is impossible.

Also, I always feel like I have to have a bowel movement, even when I don't.

I've been to my ob/gyn with little success. They suggested laproscopy, which I can't have done until after DS is weaned (he's only 10 months and no eating solids at all really).

So what should my next step be? I don't know what kind of doc to go to. Any ideas on what's wrong with me??

I'm scared to be honest.

My DH was having similar pain recently, and it got so bad one day I MADE him go to the ER to get checked out (he was doubled over). Results? He was basically dehydrated! Too much caffiene, not eating enough and filling up on sodas and coffee. :

He increased his water intake, decreased his caffiene (though he hasn't given it up all the way) and is making a formidable effort to eat better and it's subsided.

I drink tons of water but my diet is terrible. DS is allergic to dairy and I;m nursing so that makes it tough....

If you are experiencing lower back pain with weakness in your legs and feet and bowel issues--it could be a herniated disc in your back.

The other thing is that if you are having lots of pelvic pain, it could be something like endometriosis. That also causes back pain in many women.

I don't think it would be dehydration if you are drinking enough fluids.

Try chiropractic care first, along with some dietary changes. I'd suggest cutting out wheat and sugar, see if that helps in a major way. Drinking at least a gallon of water every day should help, too, but won't take care of whatever the underlying problem really is. You don't have to wean to have a lap (my baby was 13 months old when I had my last surgery), but you don't want a regular ob/gyn doing it either. If you have endometriosis, you want a specialist doing your lap, someone who can and will remove any and all endo implants he finds no matter where they are located. Most docs aren't skilled enough to do much good. www.womenssurgerygroup.com
